The amalgam is a wholly unnatural construction; often times a combination of various body parts assembled from various unwilling donors, the amalgam has been animated to serve its maker in a gruesome mockery of life.
Most commonly constructed from the mortal species, until recently, amalgams existed purely through necromantic magical forces. With the advent of invention, amalgams can now more commonly be animated with galvanic power.
Although rare, amalgams are most commonly found wherever large populations dwell; it is easy for a few souls down on their luck to disappear from the alleys of a kingdom, only to turn up later, stitched together on some foul errand for their master.
